FERRARI FF All in one

As revolutions go, the FF is a complete reinvention of everything that Ferrari stands for. For starters, there's the name. FF stands for Ferrari Four, which refers to the four-seater cabin and four-wheel-drive running gear.
Officially, the car is designed to take the lucky few from home to the snow-covered roads of Europe’s top ski resorts – but behind this lies Ferrari’s desire to grow in markets such as China, India and Russia, where big cars are big business.
Inside, the cabin is equally impressive. As you open the door for the first time, it's the quality you notice first. The rear seats will just about hold an adult, but most of the space in the back is reserved for the vast 450-litre boot.
The interior of the FF is done up with all the cues of other modern Ferrari models, including a driver-centric cabin layout and control interface, two-tone finishes, and, of course, fine leathers and metal trim. The steering wheel is free of stalks and levers, with turn signals instead operated as buttons from the steering wheel and a small manettino lever, controlling drive modes, on the steering wheel.

The FF has the best cabin space and occupant comfort in the segment, thanks to four generous body-hugging seats that ensure each of the FF’s four occupants will enjoy the same standards of ride comfort and access to the on-board equipment.
The boot size is unprecedented for this kind of car: 450 litres. However, it is also extremely versatile as both rear seats can fold down separately, upping its volume to over 800 litres.
This means, for example, that four occupants can take four standard-size trolley cases, two golf bags or two children’s strollers with them.
The central section of the rear seat can also be folded down to accommodate particularly bulky items such as a large golf bag or two pairs of skis. In other words, four people can go away in the FF for a long weekend break in complete comfort.

By simply folding down one or both of the rear seats, however, luggage space and versatility increases and two occupants could easily enjoy a month-long road trip in the car. In its two-seater configuration, the FF can be used to stow any kind of hobby or leisure activity equipment imaginable, including two full sets of diving gear or sailing kits, for instance.
This really is the most accommodating car one could desire – the front seats comfortably accommodate taller occupants up to and over 1.95 cm (just under 6 ft 4.7 in.) and up to 185 cm (6 ft 1 in.) in the rear. And they’ll be as comfortable as in their own lounge.
In terms of driver appeal, soft leathers, brushed alloy trim, and bright red detailing on the instrument panel ensure the cockpit is every bit as inviting as one of Ferrari’s famous mid-engined coupés – albeit for very different reasons. However, if the space, design and comfort on offer in the interior suggests luxury and refinement on a previously unimagined scale, then think again.
At the heart of the FF is the new seven-speed, semi-automatic, four-wheel drive transmission. It was patented by Ferrari seven years ago, and it’s taken the firm that long to develop it into a system that's does the Italian firm's sporting pedigree justice.

Though the oversized front grille, elongated headlights and wagon-like roofline might take some getting used to, the FF's every-day usability is unrivaled amid exotic performance machines. It features enough space for four six-footers to sit in comfort, and there's a relatively large 16 cubic feet of cargo room. Fold down the rear seats, and that number expands to 28 cubes.
A new V-12 engine based on the 599/Enzo architecture gets direct fuel injection (enabling a compression bump to 12.3:1) and a 2-mm bore increase. Displacement jumps to 6262 cc, friction
reductions, a reed-valve system in the dry-sump oiling system that cuts windage losses, and improved combustion control due to ion-sensing of in-cylinder exhaust after each ignition cycle combine to boost output to 651 horsepower at 8000 rpm and 504 pound-feet at 6000 rpm. And with an optional HELE system -- that stands for high emotion/low emissions and includes auto start/stop, low-consumption fuel pump, radiator-fan motors, A/C compressor, etc. -- the FF also gets 25 percent better fuel economy.

THE 4RM IS AN ENTIRELY NEW SYSTEM THAT TRANSMITS TORQUE TO ALL FOUR WHEELS OF THE CAR. A FERRARI PATENT, IT IS THE MAIN INNOVATION SPORTED BY THE NEW FF.

Volvo S60 (known for its safety)

The 2015 Volvo S60 gets several changes, including a couple of new four-cylinder engines (one that is both turbo- and supercharged) and an eight-speed automatic transmission. New features debut for 2015 as well, such as fuel-saving automatic engine stop-start technology and available lane-keeping assist. Finally, midway through the year, "2015.5" models (those built after June 2014) see a few changes to standard and optional equipment including updates to Volvo's standard telematics system.

2015 Volvo S60 is usually a nice car or a truck. Which consists of the design and style is a current period completely. The frame is activated to provide comfort and pleasure intended to generate aggressive sport. The segment head posesses a flat leather whitening strips associated with the sale of chrome. It ‘really designed as a letter diversified Oughout. The engine is equipped with a quick drop and coupled with a window in a good position it offers superb aerodynamics. Under generally include a beautiful decoration added because bumper spoiler. Available in many different colors. Will complete the rear diffuser. The human body is composed of four doors and mirrors that may be inside the coloring in cars or trucks. 2015 Volvo S60 will be shown in 12 different shades outside. Lighting effects headlights are simple lighting effects incredibly modern and absolutely fantastic. Many people have smart original. An angle signal are much larger, even the great awareness. In most ways that have triangular shape with the smaller part added associated with the shoe. Intended for collection of well-designed window justified and well and back spoiler on the shoe. About two functions within the cheapest one is planned exhaust pipe chrome. It is generally rounded or blocked. Using a car or a truck driver is able to choose between sixteen small wheels designed distinct. These include sleek combination wheels or agriculture with the measures of seventeen in the attacking width of 21 inches.
The entry-level luxury sport sedan segment is something of an automotive Olympics. Here, athletic entries from Germany, Japan, America and Sweden vie not for medals, but for prestige and popularity. And from the country that gave us Abba and Ikea comes the 2015 Volvo S60. Already a player that could hold its own in this tough game, the S60 comes into this year sporting greater performance and efficiency thanks to a couple of new powertrains.

This year the Volvo S60 adopts turbocharged four-cylinder power like most of its rivals already have. The Volvo's base 2.0-liter turbo makes 240 horsepower and promises solid performance along with strong fuel economy. Indeed, with an EPA rating of 29 mpg in combined city/highway driving, this Volvo is a front-runner in that respect. There is also a 2.0-liter four that is both supercharged and turbocharged, allowing this little 302-hp dynamo to provide both immediate response and admirable fuel efficiency. Although it rates just 1 mpg shy of the base engine's lofty combined estimate, according to Volvo, it is still capable of dispatching the 0-60-mph sprint in a speedy 5.6 seconds.
Other changes this year include a new eight-speed automatic transmission for those engines along with the adoption of fuel-saving automatic engine stop-start technology and a shuffling of features and trim levels. Unfortunately, these new engines and transmission only apply to front-wheel-drive S60s. If you desire the traction-enhancing benefits of all-wheel drive, the S60's less-efficient five- and six-cylinder turbocharged engines soldier on for another year.
Elsewhere, the Volvo S60 has the expected qualities of this segment: handsome styling, responsive handling, a comfortable cabin and plenty of luxury features. The company's endearing hallmarks, namely impressive safety technologies, extremely comfortable front seats and feisty engines, also come along for the ride.
As you might've guessed, we like the 2015 Volvo S60. While its backseat is a bit tight and its sporting credentials aren't quite on the same level as the BMW 3 Series, the Volvo S60 fits right in against more comfort-tuned entry-level luxury sedans like the Acura TLX, Audi A4 and Lexus ES 350. It's also priced attractively, often thousands less than the competition. If you're shopping for a premium-brand sedan, this quietly competent Volvo is worth a test-drive.

Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options

The 2015 Volvo S60 is a midsize luxury sedan available in four trim levels: T5 Drive-E, T5 AWD, T6 Drive-E and T6 R-Design. Depending on when your S60 was built, it might have a "2015.5" designation (models built after June 2014). As such, the information contained in this review refers to the 2015.5 S60. See the end of this section for the notable differences on the earlier models.
Apart from its powertrain, the T5 Drive-E and T5 AWD are similar in terms of available equipment. They come standard with 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, LED running lights, headlight washers, heated mirrors, automatic wipers, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver seat (with adjustable lumbar), driver memory settings, power-folding rear headrests, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, T-Tec cloth upholstery, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat with pass-through, a 7-inch display screen, "Sensus" smartphone app integration, WiFi capability,  Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and an eight-speaker sound system with a CD player, HD radio, satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface.
For T5 Drive-E and T5 AWD models, the Premier package add keyless ignition and entry, bright window trim, a sunroof, leather upholstery, a power passenger seat, a navigation system, a configurable instrument display and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The T6 Drive-E essentially starts with the T5 Drive-E Premier's equipment but adds a more powerful engine, 18-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, adjustable steering effort, a power sunroof and sport seats.
The T6 R-Design has the T6 Drive-E's features along with a more powerful engine, all-wheel drive, special exterior styling details, unique 18-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, specifically tuned sport suspension, special interior trim, a sport steering wheel and a rearview camera.
Available on all S60s, the Convenience package adds power-folding mirrors, keyless ignition and entry, a rearview camera, a remote garage opener and a grocery bag holder. The Technology package features adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, collision warning with auto braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection with auto braking and driver-attention warning. A lane-departure warning system is included with this package in all-wheel-drive models, while the Drive-E models get a more sophisticated lane-keeping assist system that will steer the car in the event of driver inaction.
The Platinum package available on all T5 and T6 models includes the Convenience and Technology packages along with xenon headlights, auto-dimming outside mirrors, cabin accent lighting and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system.
The Climate package includes a heated windshield, heated windshield washers, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel and an active cabin filter. The Sport package (T5 only) includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension and paddle shifters. Also available is the Blind Spot Information System package, which features side blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert and front and rear park sensors. A quick-fold passenger seat, the keyless ignition and entry system, heated front seats, a front-side parking camera, and a rear-seat entertainment system with dual displays are notable stand-alone options.
Before the mid-year update (labeled "2015.5" by Volvo) the Convenience package was referred to as the Premier Plus package but it came with essentially the same equipment. Earlier 2015 models (built before June 2014) also lacked the updated Sensus Connect and On Call telematics system. It's worth checking the exact year of your S60 if you're interested in getting the updated infotainment graphics, a built-in WiFi hot spot, in-car apps like Pandora and Yelp, improved voice commands and safety items like roadside assistance.

Powertrains and Performance

The 2015 Volvo S60 T5 Drive-E has a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine with 240 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. It sends its power to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Volvo estimates a 0-60-mph time of 6 seconds, while EPA fuel economy estimates stand at an impressive 29 mpg combined (25 city/37 highway).
The T5 AWD features all-wheel-drive, a six-speed automatic and a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 good for 250 hp and 266 lb-ft. Volvo puts its 0-60 time at 6.6 seconds with fuel economy estimates at 23 mpg combined (20 city/29 highway).
The T6 Drive-E is front-wheel drive and packs a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter inline-4 that cranks out 302 hp and 295 lb-ft. It uses the eight-speed automatic, and 0-60 mph is estimated at 5.6 seconds, while fuel economy numbers are 28 mpg combined (24 city/35 highway).
At the top of the performance ladder is the T6 R-Design, which features the so-called "Polestar" upgrade: a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 producing 325 hp and 354 lb-ft. Its 0-60 time is given as 5.4 seconds and fuel economy estimates are 21 mpg combined (18 city/26 highway).

Safety

Upholding Volvo's sterling reputation for passenger protection, the S60 comes loaded with standard safety features that include antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and whiplash-reducing front head restraints. Also standard is "City Safety," which can help the driver avoid a collision with other vehicles or a stationary object at speeds of up to 19 mph by automatically applying the brakes if he doesn't react in time.
Included in the optional Technology package is Volvo's pedestrian and cyclist detection feature, which can apply full braking force (reducing speed by as much as 22 mph) to help you avoid hitting pedestrians and cyclists who are at least 31 inches in height. This package also includes electronic warnings for driver inattention, lane departure and impending collision, the last of which includes automatic braking. Lane-keeping assist is further included for the Drive-E trims.
As previously mentioned, models built after June of 2014 will receive the 2015.5 designation and they'll also get Volvo's On Call system as standard. On Call includes emergency roadside assistance, automatic crash notification and stolen vehicle assistance.
Volvo and safety are almost synonymous so it's no surprise that the S60 comes with a long list of active and passive safety equipment. All S60s feature dual front, side and side curtain airbags.
A tire pressure monitoring system and a Whiplash Protection Seating System (WHIPS) both come standard.
Additionally, all models regardless of trim level feature Volvo's City Safety function which uses a laser sensor to automatically trigger the brakes at low speeds if a pending impact is detected.
Other safety options for all S60s include front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, a front-side parking camera, a blind-spot warning system and rear cross-traffic alerts.
In government crash tests the Volvo S60 earned a perfect rating of five stars for overall crash protection, with five stars each for total frontal and side crash protection. In testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the S60 received the best possible rating of "Good" in the moderate-overlap frontal-offset, small-overlap frontal-offset, side-impact and roof strength tests as well as the head restraint design for whiplash protection in rear impacts. The IIHS also rated the S60's optional frontal collision warning and mitigation system as "Superior."

Interior Design and Special Features

2015 Volvo S60 is completely re-designed and equipped with soft materials related to the premium quality. The cabin could meet up to more individuals. The space is huge enough only for a comfortable journey. Factor offers comfortable seating upholstered in beautiful materials. Built and often also the elevation. Back backbone may be changed independently. A corner area are equipped with a single streets vantilacionim even if you find you can already be bent. Every little thing is in a digital and imposing acts right. Many of the points of minor assets retailers along beautiful pieces of chrome. Full management unit while watching a motorist and digital displays all information about the existing espresso machine. The rate in the controls and the seats of the driver’s seat is perfect in relation to the awareness in the way. 2015 Volvo S60, while the gaming central system generated in a phenomenal show. Rectangular in shape, but is expected to live. Size is 7 inches wide and has a higher resolution. Individual rear seats will enjoy this software, LCD screens with a couple who could be as part of the headrest. The real fun is provided by the HI-DEF sound system with eight speakers. Involves Sirius satellite television, the opportunity to participate in each of the channels, Bluetooth, mobile phone, Internet connection with a stereo output connected with 160 w. The leader in the cabin additional holiday preview audio, although the rear is improved by using 12V. Safety features are numerous and we’ll talk about some. This type of, for example, are, management stability, detectors of vehicles, driving the brake pedal, the engine block, the management of the adhesion, and so on.

Interior materials in the 2015 Volvo S60 are on par with the rest of the entry-level luxury sedan class. The heavier graining on the dash and doors won't suit everyone, but there's no denying that the interior leather, vinyl and plastic are quality materials. Volvo's unique Scandinavian take on wood and metal accents also gives the S60's cabin a unique personality among its rivals.
The straightforward dual-temperature adjustment dials and "mode man" pictogram make climate control adjustments simple and intuitive. For more complicated tasks like selecting a media player playlist, programming the optional navigation system or controlling more complicated vehicle functions, the S60 relies on the standard Sensus system. It, too, is fairly easy to use and similar to competitor systems, though the multipurpose knob's location on the dash (rather than the center console) is not ideal.
The front seats, as always with Volvos, are really comfortable and supportive and this feels like the sort of car you could do high miles in without getting tired or stiff. Unless you’re in the back, however, which is a bit pinched for this class.
As you would expect in a Volvo, both the standard front seats and the optional sport seats offer excellent long-trip comfort and proper support. Unfortunately, the backseat isn't quite as accommodating. The seats themselves are supportive, but legroom and foot room are tight for adults taller than 5-feet, 8 inches. Competitors like the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class are more welcoming for taller passengers.
The trunk's 12-cubic-foot capacity is a bit small for the class as well, but a low liftover height makes it easy to access the space. Both the rear seats fold down, and there's a separate ski pass-through. An available fold-flat front passenger seat further increases cargo carrying capability.

Driving Impressions

Curvy and distinctive Swedish saloon that puts safety at the forefront of its not inconsiderable engineering prowess, the S60 is giving up some of its past Volvo identity to become another accomplished but indistinguishable Euro-box with competent road manners, good refinement and lots of kit at a keen price.
The 2015 Volvo S60 is a comfortable, sophisticated and well-behaved luxury sedan with ample power whether you go with four, five or six turbocharged cylinders. It's a sure-footed handler with nicely weighted steering that feels substantial without being heavy.
Regardless of output, the engines are smooth and powerful, and the all-wheel-drive system apportions power to individual wheels to maximize traction and grip through turns or on slippery roads. The base front-wheel-drive T5 model, meanwhile, lines up favorably with other rear-drive entry-level luxury cars like the BMW 328i and Mercedes C300 that feature turbocharged four-cylinders. Most buyers would likely find the acceleration, response and fuel economy of any S60 to be compelling, but the Volvo's comfortable ride is its strong suit.

Pros-High style, rorty exhaust note, composure in the twisty stuff.
Cons-Aftermarket-esque wheels, objectively lofty price, less-than-sporty transmission software.
Price- starts at Rs 35,00,000 (US$35,800)
Key Competitors
Noteworthy competitors in the crowded premium mid-size sedan segment include the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4, the Lexus IS250, the Cadillac ATS and the Infiniti G37.

Audi A8 The most senior member of Audi's A series
The 2015 Audi A8 has generous power, lots of interior opulence and a surprising amount of agility. The Audi A8 3.0T comes with a supercharged V6 engine that reviewers agree has ample power. We note that the 4.0T’s twin-turbocharged V8 is significantly more potent, and it gets about the same fuel economy. Long-wheelbase A8 L models are available with both the V6 and V8 engines, as well as a 12-cylinder engine and a turbodiesel V6. Every A8 comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. According to the EPA, the 2015 A8 3.0T gets 19/29 mpg city/highway, which is good for the class. Test drivers agree that the A8 has excellent handling for a large car, tackling corners with the agility of a much smaller sport sedan. We also appreciate its sharp steering, excellent traction and smooth ride.
Audi A8’s cabin is especially luxurious, with opulent materials and a beautiful design. Comfortable front seats and spacious rear seats further enhance the car’s appeal. The A8 has a small trunk for the class. Standard features include leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, a 14-speaker Bose surround-sound audio system, satellite radio, a USB port, Bluetooth, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera and Audi’s MMI infotainment and navigation system. Available features include front and rear seats that are heated, ventilated and massaging, a cooled rear-seat bin, a panoramic sunroof, a rear-seat entertainment system, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, blind spot monitoring, active lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, a head-up display, night vision and a surround-view camera system. We are impressed with the number of high-tech features in the A8, and they note that the MMI infotainment system has sharp graphics and is easy to use.

Performance
The Audi A8 has a wide range of petrol and diesel engines. Most are V6s and V8s, but there’s also a hybrid version that combines a four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor, and a rip-snorting W12. All have an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Our favourite engine is the 3.0 TDI diesel, which is effortlessly swift. The more powerful versions are seriously quick.
Handling

Every A8 has adjustable air suspension that provides a pretty supple ride when you select Comfort or Auto mode. However, sharp bumps can still send the odd shudder through the cabin (and those onboard). In most settings, body control is good for such a big car, but while the steering weights up with speed, it is devoid of feel.

Quality
Audi has a reputation for outstanding cabin quality, and the A8 shows it's well deserved. All of the materials are beautifully textured, the screen's graphics look great and the interior panel gaps are all millimetre-perfect. The JD Power customer satisfaction survey suggests that Audi's reliability doesn't always match its standards of assembly, though.
Behind Wheel
A huge range of electric seat and steering wheel adjustment makes it easy to get comfortable in the A8, while Audi's MMI control system keeps clutter to a minimum by letting you access most functions via on-screen menus. The A8 also has a touchpad that lets you write your destination into the sat-nav, so you can programme it without taking your eyes of the road. However, some of the MMI menus can be a bit distracting.
Equipment
The long list of standard equipment includes climate control, leather upholstery, a DAB radio, satellite-navigation and all-LED headlights. SE Executive trim adds electrically operated boot closing, a rear parking camera and larger alloys. Buyers can also specify anything from massage seats to a thumping Bang & Olufsen stereo.
Safety
You won't want for safety kit. Every A8 comes with eight airbags, stability control and Audi's pre-sense system, which automatically activates the hazard warning lights, closes the windows and tightens the front seatbelts if an accident looks unavoidable. A more sophisticated version that also brakes the car is available as an option, as is a night-vision system that's capable of identifying pedestrians. Security kit is comprehensive, too.

"Compared with the big S-Classes and 7 Series of the world, the A8 feels lithe and more responsive -- less of a limousine and more of a sport sedan." -- Motor Trend (2013)
"The 2015 Audi A8 remains one of our top luxury sedan picks for its high levels of comfort, performance and numerous high-tech features." -- Edmunds
"The Audi A8 delivers the stretch-out-space, high-tech gadgetry and pampering extras one would expect of a full-size luxury sedan, but it drives much smaller than its generous dimensions would suggest. These virtues, along with standard quattro all-wheel-drive and a wide range of powerful yet efficient motors, make the A8 a highly tempting option for executive sedan shoppers." -- Left Lane News

Pros --
  • Supremely luxurious
  • Impeccable refinement
  • Roomy cabin
  • Superb engines

Cons --
  • Understated looks
  • Artificial steering feel
  • Slightly lumpy ride

Overall Rating -- 4/5
Price -- Rs 1,10,00,000-1,90,00,000  (US$74209-78325)

Rolls Royce Wraith - Inspired by Fashion

The Wraith is a two-door sports coupe with 2+2 seating and suicide doors. Rolls arranged a fashion-themed photo shoot to promote it at the factory in Goodwood, England
The Wraith is a V-12, 642-horsepower coupe, controlled by an eight-speed automatic transmission
Seats
The Wraith comes with Rolls-Royce’s famous starry-night headliner, which uses tiny LED lights to create what looks like the night sky along the ceiling of the car. Seats feature massagers and heaters.
Wheel and dash
The interior is a stark arctic white and black onyx with embroidered headrests, a jewelry pearl-designed clock on the dash, and a two-tone steering wheel that Rolls’s seamstresses in Goodwood have figured out how to make look seamless.
The Hood
The Spirit of Ecstasy on the hood of the Wraith illuminates with the push of a button. The headlamps are auto-dimming and light-sensitive xenon.
Features
The Wraith is fitted as standard with leather upholstery, wood trim, a navigation system with a 10.2-inch display, an 18-speaker AM/FM/CD stereo system, four-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a proximity key, automatic xenon headlights, heated front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, power-closing doors, a power-operated trunk and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Options include adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, a side, rear and top-view camera system, ventilated and massage front seats, high-beam assistance, a lane departure warning system and a night vision system.
Safety
Wraiths are fitted with front, front side and full-length side curtain airbags in addition to traction and stability control systems. A lane departure warning system is optional.

Practical Review
The Wraith echoes back to the classic pre-WWII Grand Tourers of ages past, not the performance-oriented GTs of the modern age. It has more in common with the iconic "Round Door" Rolls-Royce P1 than a Jaguar E-Type or even Bentley Continental. It was built with long-range drives in mind, the very raison d’être of a classic Grand Tourer, and it does so with the grace, gravity and performance of a trimaran.
Although based on the heavier, blockier Ghost (which is itself based on the BMW 7-Series), Rolls-Royce aimed to give its smaller coupé brethren a more dynamic appearance. This was done via the fastback profile, its long C-pillar swooping with a grand arch to the trunk. It’s wider by 28 mm than the Ghost, with more muscular rear haunches. And the grill is deeper-set — the blades recessed 44 mm, for a more jet-like appeal, referencing the brand’s vaunted aeronautics history. Rolls even tilted the Spirit of Ecstasy hood angel forward five degrees, to give her the forward motion of a track athlete. It was crucial to exterior designer Andreas Turner to preserve the dynamic spirit of car -- a theme that is echoed in the Wraith's highly evolved interior. This attention to detail is underscored best by its woodwork, exemplified in Rolls-Royce’s proprietary Canadel Panelling. The optional open-pore wood is fastidiously bookmatched on the center console, the movement of its grain funneling front to back. Matched by the world’s largest wood panels on the doors, this chevron pattern is all about motion, pointing the car’s feng shui back and down towards the road. In yet another nod to its history, Rolls dubbed this non-glossy, rough wood “Canadel” after the cove in southern France where Sir Henry Royce had a summer home. Similar open-pore woods have recently become de rigueur in the luxury segment -- adopted by everyone from Range Rover to Jeep’s top-of-the-line Summit Grand Cherokee -- in order to broadcast the trim as authentic wood, not some cheap veneer, thank you very much.

On the dashboard, the only option available with the gorgeous Canadel wood is a glossy black piano trim -- you cannot get burled wood here, nor straight wood grain. The total concept is to match the exterior's feeling of dynamism with the interior, the feeling of motion created in the fastback echoed in the movement of the wood’s grain.

Rolls wanted the aesthetic motion to run forward, into the noir. Into the piano black. Which might make you wonder: Is the Wraith is an instrument of good or evil? While you would jump to the assumption that this is a vehicle built for the forces of light, remember it is called the Wraith after all -- an undead apparition renowned for its nerve-tingling terror. It's not called the Rolls-Royce Cherub for a reason.

Just to be clear, you can get burled wood on the dashboard -- but only with leather door panels that won't corrupt the circular, flushing dynamic theme of the wood. There's no straight horizontal grain on the dash either, because then the lines would just be running in circles. And Rolls-Royces don’t run in circles -- just in powerful, inexorable gallops forward.

The venerable British automaker is so set on not allowing the driver to feel a disturbance, or work too hard or even interact with his vehicle, that the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built does not come with paddle shifters. It’s not even an option, no matter how much money the Sultan of Brunei throws their way. Which is precisely the unique paradox of the Wraith. By name, by reputation, by its very manifesto, Rolls’ mission is to spare the driver from as much intrusion as possible, to cushion him in sable-lined bubble wrap so he doesn’t feel a thing -- not the shifting of gears, not the disrespectful interruption of potholes and bumps, nor the rude physicality of braking. Nothing in the Rolls-Royce experience should require more effort than the brushing of your hand across an infant’s cheek. The entire practice should be inputless… which is the antithesis of “sporty,” and why Rolls will shirk that term and in its place offer “dynamic” -- a marketing speak two-step at best. But if Rolls-Royce is truly trying to build a driver-focused coupé, one that is as pleasurable to drive as it is to lounge in (atop heated and air-cooled supple leather seats, nonetheless), then why not give the driver the option to shift?
Because that simply is not the Rolls-Royce experience. Their executives would claim the Satellite Transmission, used in conjunction with the “Low” setting, mitigates the need for paddle shifters, even if more performance-oriented drivers might disagree.
Maybe those executives are right -- maybe the Wraith doesn’t need any shift control. But it also doesn’t need inch-thick lambswool floor mats, or an umbrella that pops out of the door in case of inclement weather. It doesn’t need a “Starlight Headliner” with 1,340 fiber-optic nodules attached to the roof to imitate the sensation of driving under a starry night -- even while underground. The Wraith doesn’t need many of the things that make a Rolls-Royce a Rolls-Royce. But is it a better car with them? Yes, of course it is.

Rolls-Royce will make a limited number of the Wraith “Inspired by Fashion,” depending upon client interest. (Models not included.) Don’t expect to see hundreds of these on the road. Price- Rs5,50,00,000  (US$ 3,27,925.00)

Luxury car.. everyone likes to stare..

Bentley  super luxury cars!!!

The "Bentley Mulsanne" Speed benefits from a revised 6.75 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that has been designed to boost acceleration, power and torque. But it’s the numbers that matter: 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds (100 km/h in 4.9 seconds) and a top speed of 190mph (305 km/h).
Yet the Mulsanne Speed is much more than just a powerhouse. It is a car for independent thinkers. For those with the unquenchable desire to take the wheel and change the world, there is no more accomplished combination of performance, luxury and style.
